Honoured artist of the UkraineValentin Bernadsky was born in the village Ozeryany, Kiev region in 1917. The artist received the special artistic education first at the art college in Leningrad, and then entered the Repin institute of painting, sculpture and architecture, which graduated from in 1950.Since 1951 the artist has taken part in art exhibitions.Since 1983 V. Bernadsky has taken part in foreign exhibitions.The confirmation of the life itself, as of a high philosophical category, is characteristic to all the creative activity of Bernadsky, and the community of his position with the Russian democratic aesthetic is in it.The artist is able to combine the everyday life with the features of the poetic sounding. The romantic take-off of the soul, emotionality, an aspiration to paint the world in a movement – are characteristic features of G. Bernadsky.The canvases are painted in the traditions of the Russian impressionistic school of XIX-XXth, but these traditional features at the same time are poetic and modern. G. Bernadsky paints many portraits. The principle ‘life is wonderful’ finds its further development.The pictures of the artist are at the art museum in Simferopol, at the picture galleries in Cheboksary, Karaganda, Lvov, Dnepropetrovsk, and also in the private collections in Russia and abroad: Germany, Japan, Italy, France, Austria, USA. G. Bernadsky takes part in art auctions: ‘Arkol’, ‘Druo’ in Paris for 6 years.
