Kostroma painterBorn in 1911 in the village of Lyakhovo, Kostroma region.A.Yablokov received special artistic education firstly at the Yaroslavl art college and afterwards in Odessa art school, which he finished in 1932.The artist has taken part in art exhibitions since 1936. One-man shows were held in Kostroma in 1955, 1958, 1961,1962,1971, 1972; in Gorky in 1958 and in Kirov in 1959.A.Yablokov also took part in several international art exhibitions in Finland, Japan, Spain, Singapore, New Zealand and Poland.A.Yablokov was the founder and the first director of Kostroma regional picture gallery, he collected the new works in the range of painting, sculpture, graphics etc.A.Yablokov is a painter of vivid, lyric, joyful style. His works continue the traditions of the Russian realistic landscape, he presents modest and quiet beauty of the Russian North. The main idea for the artist consists not only in taking the specific state of nature, but rather in creating of an image, touching and colorful.A.Yablokov works one may find in several museums of Russia: in Moscow, Kazan, Kirov, Kurgan, Chita, Petrozavodsk, Kostroma.
